Where is Business Training and Services located?

• We are located at Carroll Community College in the Hikel Business Training Center in the Scott Center Building

I think I have a business training need but I’m not sure where to begin. How do I get started?

• Call us at 410-386-8095 or email us at businesstraining@carrollcc.edu. We’ll have one-on-one consultation to determine your needs and develop a training plan to meet your goals.

What if I don’t see the class or training topic I’m looking for?

• With more than 3,000 classes, it’s hard to list them all! Call us at 410-386-8095 or email us at businesstraining@carrollcc.edu. Our college resources and extensive network of professionals are ready to provide instruction that will meet your needs.

What programs or classes do you offer specifically for new businesses?

• We offer a variety of classes (some are free) as well as referral services to the Small Business Development Center or Start Up Carroll. For more details, click here or contact Marlene Titus at 410-386-8012 or mtitus@carrollcc.edu.

Can you provide training at our site?

• We can provide training on campus, online or at your location. For computer training, we can customize training on your software using your equipment at your site or we can bring mobile computer lab equipment to your location.

What training options are available for just one or two employees?

• We can create a training class just for your employees (either on campus, online, or at your location) or they can register for an existing class section if it meets your training needs.

My company has less than 20 employees. Can you provide training suitable for a business of my size?

• We will customize training to meet your needs - whether it’s one-on-one training, small groups, large groups or anything in between.

My company does not use the latest software version – can you still help us with software training?

• We are equipped to deliver training that works for you. Contact Matt Day at 410-386-8022 or mday@carrollcc.edu to discuss your needs.

Does it matter in what order I take the Small Business Training Network classes?

• Take one class or all of them in any order, however if you’re just starting out, we suggest you begin with “Launching Your New Business”. For assistance in choosing the right combination of classes to suit your needs, contact Marlene Titus at 410-386-8012 or mtitus@carrollcc.edu.

Will you help me find grants or other funding to help cover the cost of my company’s training?

• We will help identify possible funding sources available to you, although not every business or every training may qualify.
